Fine Dining Options on Outer Ring Road – The Courtyard Marriott and Fairfield

Posted on the 09 May 2016 by Cheekymeeky

If you live or work in the Outer Ring Road section of Bangalore (particularly in the IT hub from KR Puram to Sarjapur), you would know and lament the lack of decent dining options available.

For quite some time, it seemed that for office gatherings, you were confined to the Park Plaza hotel (a good option but gets tired if you go there every time), or Absolute Barbecue (which is impossible if you are trying to book a place on short notice). If you opted out of these, well, there was pretty much nothing decent on offer close by.

All that's changed now with the fine dining options at Courtyard Marriott / Fairfield hotel near Kadubeesanahalli. We tried out MoMo Cafe and Kava, and absolutely enjoyed our experience there.

The folks from Marriott took us all over their property, and I was really impressed by how well-laid out the place was.

We stopped off at Kava first to generally look over the place, and then proceeded to MoMo Cafe, where we tried out their regular buffet options. Nothing special for us food bloggers, so you know that what we ate is generally available.

The buffet is par for the course. Lots of starters - the usual fruit salad, some chaat, a rather delicious Mexican-style salad that I loved.

For the main course, I skipped the North-Indian fare and zeroed in on the Italian food.

One reason for going Italian was that I had a word with the chef there, and he told me one of his specialties was Italian food, he then proceeded to regale me with his Italian travel and food stories that I could not not eat Italian food, if you get what I mean 🙂 .

Anyway, the Italian dishes I sampled were mind-blowing. I love the aglio-olio spaghetti with broccoli and truffles. The gnocchi was also pretty good - surprisingly spicy, and miles better than the gnocchi I tried making at home.

The dessert options were endless too.

We eventually decided to share a couple of desserts - the red velvet cake and a Ferrero Rocher topped chocolate and hazelnut cake.

Both were good, but the portions were so generous that we struggled to finish. We ended up taking a hefty amount of leftovers home.

Still a problem of plenty is not really a problem at all, right 😉 . If you want to try this place, here are the contact details:
