Finally It's Shawn Time

Fourteen months ago, I bought Shawn Mendez tickets. I thought I was buying them for June 2018. It wasn't until we were at the band banquet that I realized the tickets were for June 2019. In fact, I didn't realize it until another parent told me. Clearly, I didn't read the fine print. The girls talked about the concert every once in a while. As the concert date drew closer, they started getting excited. The night we drove to the Allstate Arena, they could hardly contain themselves.  Dad and I both drove girls to the concert. The girls were old enough to go without a chaperone, but not old enough to go without drivers. We went to see a movie while they screamed and danced and sang. They were floating when they met us after the concert. They talked about every detail of the show. After a long fourteen month wait, it turned out to be the concert of their dreams.
