Do you ever find yourself tired but not sleeping? Hungry but not eating? Overwhelmed but still adding more to your schedule? Stressed out but not doing things that fill you up? Exhausted but still running, running, running?
Well I guarantee that you, my friend, are not alone. And I am here to remind you to STOP. Right here. Right now. Close your eyes. Take a deep breath. Then take another. Then take one more. I want you to know that it is important, no more than that, it is vital for you to figure out what you need and honor it. Do you need rest? REST. Do you need to re-evaluate your schedule in order to make some time to take care of yourself? RE-EVALUATE. Do you need to eat (physically or spiritually)? EAT.
You are worth honoring your needs. As women, we give a lot of our time, energy, and love to others. We tend to put ourselves to the side in order to care for our loved ones. It's both a blessing and a curse. A blessing because we're making the lives of those around us better, but a curse because sometimes we let our own wells dry up in the process. You can't fill others up with an empty well can you?
So this is me giving you permission (not like you need it but still) to stop, reflect, figure out what you need, and DO THAT. *Excuse me while I take my own advice!
