The summer I turned 16 years old my mother took me on a 5 week trip through Europe. We landed in Frankfurt, Germany, and from there traveled through France, Switzerland, Italy, Austria, and Germany once more. One of my favorite memories (and there are many) is from when we visited the Jaufgrau, in the Swiss Alps. To get to the the snow capped mountain, we had to take a train. We passed through blooming fields of flowers, slowly traveled through the foothills, and eventually got off at our destination. When we returned, we had a picnic in the fields. The natural beauty was absolutely overwhelming. Using the flowers in the field, I wove my mother a floral crown, and tucked a few behind my ears. A few moments later, a delicate green butterfly perched itself in my hair. This top reminds me of that moment.
