Field House Brewing in Abbotsford is almost finished construction of their brewery and are only a few weeks away from opening for good. Check out my original post here.
The taproom is almost 100% finished now with only tap handles to be added to the bar area. There is a wood burning fireplace to add to the atmosphere also! There will be food created by local companies including beer pretzels made with Field House beer, Dutch cheeses and sausages, beer snacks and munchies. They will also have a popup coffee shop in house during certain times of the day run by local favourite coffee shop Old Hand Coffee that will serve coffee and pastries.
The brewery is finally installed which is made by local Fraser Valley tank manufacturer Newlands. They plan to have long table dinners in front of the brewhouse itself in the future with the garage doors open in front.
The cooler is all set up and ready to accept beer if only there was some to fill this space.
At the far end of the building you find the tank farm. Currently there are only 6 fermentors and two bright tanks but they plan to fill this room and then expand outside when the demand calls for it.
Because Field House Brewing is located close to Newlands they will be testing out new equipment at the brewery. Because of this they have reserved a space at the front of the building to house these test peices. They will be closed in by wood slats as seen in this photo.
One really cool point part of this brewery is that they have a great big grass area in the front that has a liquor license. It will act as a picnic area and will be a great hub for not only adults who want to try out some great craft beer in the Fraser Valley but families with children. They hope to have play place of some sort set up for children when they open. They hope to be the new community hub for this portion of Abbotsford much like many breweries are in Oregon.
