Janelle Monae (@janellemonae) is one of the most inventive young artists making music today, so it is no surprise that she uses her Twitter stream to keep herself inspired and to send encouragement to her 230,000 followers. While the @JanelleMonae stream has lately been filled with retweets of the many fans who copied her signature pompadour and tuxedo style for Halloween, she usually tweets about the work she is doing and the bands that she loves. Mostly, though, she tweets grateful affirmations about how awesome she feels to be doing what she loves. It definitely makes you feel awesome as well. Starting a project of your own? Make sure to follow Monae for that motivational kick in the pants to get you going.
