Fellow Creatures Prepare to Release Debut Album with ‘Expectations’ [Premiere]

As smart, staccato guitar riffs and smooth, slightly-falsetto vocals blend together in the sparse beginning of “Expectations”, Fellow Creatures set a pleasant, but highly pointed tone for their new track. With the addition of more layers, higher intensity percussion and longer guitar strums, the song grows in emotional depth, all leading to an elongated, harmonized outro that nicely wraps up the track. Fellow Creatures, made up of DC’s Sam McCormally and Will McKindley-Ward, have gotten a good deal of attention for their live show since 2014, but their self-titled debut album due on April 6 is sure to gain them deserved attention for their recorded material as well.
