Feel Good Week

By Stephanie

Last week was a happy week, yay! I have finished a rather big project. Incidentally, the flowers in my garden seems to be celebrating with me.

First of all is my Jasminum sambac 'Grand Duke Of Tuscany'... oh, how wonderful! When I caught sight of the opened blooms in the morning, I immediately put my nose to the flowers to inhale their sweet scent as much as possible. It's really sweet, trust me :-)

I have been growing this jasmine in a small pot, hence the result was not really that great. Each time I pruned the plant, it will only send out a shoot.

This time it's different. Last week, many shoots emerged. I was overwhelmed by the many buds that was on the little shrub...

The rain didn't stop my Smooth Aster (Aster laevis) from flowering. The flowers were brightening the garden last week and will do so this week as well. Look...

A snapshot of one part of my garden...
Loved this fern Nephrolepis exaltata (cultivar) a lot. The fine foliage is ever so graceful. They make the garden feels airy and wonderful.

Meanwhile, a few of my Rivina humilis is flowering and ladened with berries. This shot below is a little special as a seed was still hanging from the stalk. Later it will drop to the ground or soil to start a new plant.

Oh my... this begonia has not been thriving. Recently the leaves started to grow bigger and more leaves are now growing out from the main stem.

Ipomoea quamoclit flowers are obvious even against the red-leaved shrub, Hibiscus acetosella (cultivar)...

This plant below was tagged Polyscias filicifolia but I think it should be Euodia ridleyi. Besides its slow-growing nature, I adore the pleasing soothing green colour of the leaves.

My Maranta leuconeura var. kerchoviana that emerged from the pot of Monocostus uniflorus is now flourishing steadily.

The other plant that has very pleasing l ace-like and wonderful green foliage is the Asian spikemoss (Selaginella plana). Moved one to a new location last week. Hope it will do well there.

Btw my project was my first book! It will be released soon... before Christmas. So stay tuned :-)
Have a blessed day!
