* February Cooking Class

By Keepingupwithsonnek @aJOschlomka
For the month of February we enjoyed a DELICIOUS evening of Fondue! Our three course meal included; a Spinach and Artichoke Fondue with bread for dipping to start. Our main course included a HUGE spread of meats (peppered steak/marinated/chicken/pork/shrimp) and blanched veggies (asparagus/cauliflower/broccoli). We had the option to Fondue in either the oil with a Tempura Batter or a Veggie Broth Base Fondue named Coq Au Vin. We also had a companion salad with a Cocoa Vinaigrette Dressing. Let me tell you, this might sound strange but the Cocoa Vinaigrette was really REALLY good!
February's Product of the Month was Wildtree's Steak Sauce #9. Along with the take home POM we also had 4 additional Wildtree sauces for dipping. In no particular order there was; Teriyaki Sauce, Pacific Fusion Sauce, Sweet & Savory Pineapple Sauce* & Asian Ginger Plum Dressing.
* February Cooking Class*My favorite being the Sweet & Savory Pineapple.
For those with a sweet tooth and sweet taste- this is pineapple sauce is for you! Yum Yum! I want to make a chicken dish using this one some how, maybe kabobs. I know Aaron is going to love it too.
I was only able to attend the first class this month, as Aaron and I celebrated our 3 year anniversary on the second class of the month. Class on the 12th was pretty small (4 of us) which was great since we had newbie, Amber in attendance. This let her get a feel for how class works and ask lots of good questions. She really enjoyed herself and hopes to make it to class often. She's a busy full time working momma of two (Hudson & Adriana). We will have a bottle of Le Grande Noir waiting, Amber!

The second class was a BIG class (12 ladies!) and I of course missed seeing new baby! Kristina (another busy full time working  momma of two w/ Nolan and Kellan) brought her little one for me to meet. Kellan was brought along to class so that I could hold him the entire time! She found out that morning (as we facebooked) that I wouldn't be able to see him! BUT... again I missed this class for a fun night out with the hubby. I will meet Kellan sometime soon, if not at a class then the middle of April! :)
Class on the 20th sounded like they all liked ALL of the food and sauce choices as well- it also sounded like the salad was a HUGE success. Salads tend to be a very popular choice in class. Luckily with Spring and Summer coming up on us, I am sure we will be seeing more new salad ideas!
I can't end without a mention of dessert; we had a Chocolate Fondue! yummmm and if you have ever had the experience of Fondue at The Melting Pot, then you know just how GOOD chocolate fondue/fondue desserts can be! We had the following options prepared for dipping in pot of Chocolate heaven; Rice Krispie Cubes*, Strawberries, Bananas, large Marshmallows.
* February Cooking Class*The Rice Krispies were my FAV with the strawberries right behind!
While February was a "Fun"due time, March is sure to be just as fantastic. Because... who doesn't love corn beef!? That is what we will be seeing on the menu next month- I have presented the idea of "Irish Nachos". I look forward to seeing if they make the cut! See you there!
