When I think of the holidays and ways that I can show those in my life how much they mean to me, and that I’m thinking of them, no matter of many miles they may be, I think COOKIES! And boy do I make a lot of them. Some are simple, classic cookies, while others are my unique twists on mundane ingredients, like browning butter until it fills the kitchen with nutty scents or adding a splash or two of whiskey, just because why not.
Whether it’s for Christmas Eve and Santa’s arrival, or holiday get-togethers with friends and family, or curating a lovely package, cookies will always be a favorite of all. So if some of you may be sending boxes of baked goods to loved ones who live far, or have decided to host a holiday cookie swap party, or are beginning to plan your holiday menus {and yes mine is basically already planned for both days}, I’ve rounded up my favorite cookie recipes. These are cookie recipes that will stay fresh if you are shipping them, or if being prepped and baked a few days before your holiday gathering.
Aren’t baked goods the best way to show your holiday kindness!
