The death of one man and the serious injury of another from Sunday afternoon’s head-on collision in Camden County, Missouri
A 55 year-old Imperial man was killed Sunday afternoon as a result of a head-on car crash on Highway MM less than a mile east of Chimney Point Road in Camden County, Missouri.
According to reports, the accident occurred when the vehicle driving by a 25 year old Gravois Mill, Missouri man was traveling east bound on Missouri Highway MM crossed over the center line into oncoming traffic. The second vehicle operated by the Imperial, Missouri man drove off the right side of the roadway in an attempt to avoid the other vehicle but struck the car head-on, then overturned and caught fire.
The Imperial man was pronounced dead at the scene and the Gravois Mill man was transported to University Hospital in Columbia with serious injuries.
Head-On Crashes Considered to be the Most Serious of Accidents
