Gone are the days of awkward telephone calls to your local takeaway, as websites take over with their easy virtual menus & order forms. I must say, myself & Creature are no stranger to these sorts of website. On many a hungover Sunday have we resorted to lethargically punching in our postcode & card details in anticipation for some top Chinese nosh!
Takeaway.com is a new fast & easy way of ordering your favorite takeaway. Established in the Netherlands in 2000, the company have expanded their reach to 10 countries.
Personally I found the website to be extremely easy to use. And I was more than satisfied with the huge choice of restaurants in my area too, the only problem we found was that we were too spoilt for choice! - Which I guess isn't really a bad thing.
After a little bit of deliberation however, we decided to use the very handy "top 5" suggestion located on the left hand side & ordered from the highest customer rated pizza restaurant. Papa Gino's not only scored high on their food but on looking at the menu we soon found their value for money was fantastic.
Takeaway.com kindly offered us a £15 towards our meal, & considering a Chinese would on average cost us around £20, I was more than happy to pay the difference. However, after looking through Papa Gino's menu it become clear spending £15 would be a hard feat!
Most restaurants on Takeaway.com offer value meals or special offers. Which when you have a group of you eating together or looking to save a little money are a great choice. Papa Ginos offer
any two 12-inch crispy pizzas, plain garlic bread, coleslaw and 2 fries all for £14.10. You really can't beat that for value for money!
The food was fantastic too. We ordered a BBQ chicken pizza and a meat feast. The BBQ was incredible, chicken was shredded and evenly distributed across the pizza meaning eat mouthful was a balanced mix of sweet sauce, soft chicken & crunchy peppers. We also spent an extra 30p on garlic sauce and even that was delicious!
I would whole heartedly recommend Takeaway.com to any looking for a cheap, fast and convenient way to order a cheeky treat. & I'll certainly be ordering from Papa Gino's again, mama mia, they do a good'a pizza!
