Just like the scent and crispness of a brand new car, there’s nothing more refreshing and exciting than the beginning of a new year. Yeah, of course, there’s the occasional failed resolutions and the much needed end of certain relationships. But it’s the ‘new’ feeling that I literally get high on. I especially like to take a moment to look back at the fashion trends of the year-gone-by and attempt to predict what will be HOT in 2014!
a wave goodbye to 2013 fashion trends
Hmmm…let’s see. For me, 2013 wasn’t that big of a year for trends. We kinda stood still for the most part. What stands out for me are matte lips, messy buns, neutral eyes, bold lips, camoflauge gear, 1920s inspired looks and sneaker wedges. Honestly, I see most of these trends slithering into 2014 too.
But…what can we expect to see more of in 2014 is the better question. Here are my predictions!

I’m hoping those bumpy, sandy textured nail polishes slowly fade away. In my opinion, they were never that flattering. I hoping to see lots {and lots} more nudes in accessories, handbags, nail polish and eye shadow. The bold, matte lip is still a favorite of mine. I hope it sticks around much longer.
