It seems like 20 Century Fox Studios can’t get it right for Marvel’s first family. After getting negative press reviews the Fantastic Four movie comes in at No. 2 with $26.2 million. Before the negative reviews Fantastic Four was on charts to earn around 40 million and come at number 1.
Earning 26.2 million dollars puts Fantastic Four on the list of lowest performing superhero movies, which includes “Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance” ($22.1 million) and “The Green Hornet” ($33.5 million). In addition, it places the film far behind the previous Fantastic Four which came in at $56.1 million and $58.1 million almost ten years ago.
Fox has slated a sequel for 2017, but that could change since the movie underperformed. Maybe fox should give it up and just give the rights back to Marvel, so they can do a better job.
