The favor bags. I decided to add some flare to some simple dollar store gift bags.
Keeping with the theme, I went with ribbons, trim, lace and bows.
So here's what I did: I started with the bows. Get some ribbon and your hot glue gun..
Measure one piece at 5 1/2 inches.
Another piece at 2 1/2 inches long.
With the longer piece, add a dab of hot glue in the center and fold over one edge like this.
Then the same with the other piece.
Take your shorter piece and wrap it around the center of your bow and glue in place.
Voila. You have a bow.
Now make some more (depending on how many bags you have).
Now dig into your collection of ribbons, trims and lace.
Measure the length you want on your bag.
Then cut the other pieces to same and varied lengths.
Gather the ends together and glue together.
Wrapping the ends together like so.
Glue it to the back of your bow.
Then onto your bag.
Add ribbon to the bottom with glue.
And that's it!
As for the inside: we filled the girls bags with a bracelet, fancy ring, bejeweled mirror compact, and purse notepad with lipstick pen.
The boys received the tie appliqued shirts that I made.
That's all for now! Come back tomorrow for a free printable from the party. Have a terrific day.
