London garage punk rock trio False Heads got some hard-earned recognition by being signed by Gary Powell's (The Libertines) label 25 Hour Convenience Store. Their previous singles and EPs made the niche playlists of Auntie Beeb and were mentioned quite favourably in the UK music magazines. All they need now is a song that can get 'em out of the bars and on to the stages of the club circuit.
They are at the forefront of the quiet-loud resurgence and their latest single Steal And Cheat is a boisterous anthem that comes howling fmo the speakers. Think the Pixies energy mixed with London bravado and fuck-it-all reckless abandon. This is the kind of stuff you want to hear after your team has lost an important match.
