The Real Housewives is definitely one of my guilty pleasure television shows. I can't quite stomach it everyday, but when I do tune in, I love their over-the-top style and no-nonsense attitudes. In one epic RH battle, one wife texts another, calling her a "Low Budget B....!" To which the recipient completely exploded. To me, this was hilarious; what a ridiculous insult! Yet in Real Housewife land, being called such a thing is probably as offensive as it gets.
After a few laughs I realized, aren't most of us low budget ladies? My wardrobe budget isn't huge, thus taking a lot of creativity to keep up with the Jones'. But I sort of love the challenge of reading a fashion magazine, and thinking, "OK, how can I make this work for me?" What fun would it be to just buy whatever I wanted, giving no thought to the price? Um, well actually, that sounds pretty amazing... Until then, here's my "Low Budget B's" fall wish list:
