Call it what you want. But I call loose-fitting boxy blazers–dumpy. Why is this a “trend”? Wearing an ill-fitting item of clothing is just counterintuitive. Well, i this is truly a trend, Goodwill should be busy.
I think boxy blazers either look like you just lost a ton of weight and you can’t be bothered to go shopping for clothes that actually fit you or you slept over at your grandma’s house and didn’t bring a change of clothes. I mean, seriously?
A blazer that skims your figure and fits well looks more luxe, sophisticated, professional and flattering than one that doesn’t fit you. With all the blazer cuts and price points out there, you have no excite not to look great in one. Or you can just look like you don’t’ care, which sometimes translates into effortless-chic. But in this case, it just translates into no-bueno.
