Fall Out Boy Wrote Songs for One Direction That Were Never Used
Posted on the 27 January 2015 by ImorfyFall Out Boy and One Direction? It’s the collaboration we never knew we needed — and we’re obsessed with it.
In a recent interview with the Daily Star, FOB bassist Pete Wentz opened up about working with 1D, saying, “Last time we were in London we wrote with the guys in One Direction. It was a great session but I don’t know if Fall Out Boy writes what One Direction wants to sing.”
We’re fully in support of this partnership, but sadly these songs never saw the light of day.
“There’s a certain area of odd that we can stake a place in, but it’s like we have the language of twins,” Pete said. “Maybe it’s too odd for One Direction because they didn’t end up using the songs this time.”
The bassist also opened up about another pop artist he admires: Ed Sheeran.
“Ed is a lyrical guy and he tells these intricate interesting stories that you wouldn’t expect from pop music,” Pete told the Daily Star. “I’m not sure he would ever take the job but it’s his if we ever need a singer.”
