Fall Festivities

By Jessicavenoy @lovelyjesscuh
It's that time of the year when I start getting jealous of all of y'all who live in a state that actually HAS seasons ;) Florida doesn't have winter, spring, summer & fall. We have three summers & a wannabe spring. But that doesn't stop me from partaking in the fun festivities that go along with fall!
So here is my Fall Bucket List:

1. Have a bonfire.
I absolutely love bonfires! From preparing by cutting down the wood (or watching Adam cut the wood...ha!) to making s'mores, they're always a good time. Our bonfires usually end in a massive marshmallow fight. But my favorite part is how you smell after a bonfire. Adam's dad lives on a lake, which is the prime spot for a bonfire :) Can't wait until it cools off a little bit at night so we can start having bonfires!

Adam & I carve pumpkins every year around this time. This year I want to change it up a bit and decorate a pumpkin rather than carve it. It's so fun going to a pumpkin patch and walking around finding the perfect pumpkin. I'm planning on doing a post of all the past pumpkins that I've done!
Fall Festivities via 3. Attempt to make a pumpkin-based recipe.
Do pumpkin pie vodka shots count as a a recipe? ;) I'm not a master chef by any means, but it's a goal of mine to start feeling out the kitchen now that I'm getting settled in my new apartment (tour to come soon). I'm thinking about trying out a pumpkin bread or bar recipe. If you have any suggestions, send them my way :)
Fall Festivities via 4. Go camping.
I'd love to make a trip to North Carolina (Hi Mabreys!) and camp somewhere where the leaves change and the weather is gorgeous. But I'd settle for camping at a park here in Florida for a night or two! I doubt my set up would be as glamourous as this, but hey, a girl can dream. As long as I get to sleep under the stars before the new year, I'll take it!

5. Throw a Halloween party.
Adam & I are thinking about throwing a Mad Men inspired Halloween party! I've never taken the time to throw a legit themed party with coordinating decor, but with all of these to die for parties all over Pinterest, how can I not?!
