Indie rock quartet Sundara Karma is charming us all the way from Reading, England with their newest single, “Loveblood”. The drive of the guitarline moves with the cowl of the lead singer’s voice to build the pulse of excitement as he sings, “The thunder from her thighs makes me shake.” The bridge continues these sultry undertones with what sounds like heavy breathing that breaks into a choir-like hum of ooh’s. Despite all this, though, the song does not sink into the slinky background for a wine-stained evening and instead bubbles with that early dizziness of love. Like a blast of sunshine in the midst of this snow-laden landscape, it’s nearly impossible not to dance along to this song.
