About Faces Canada Matte Lips Crayons:
These are available in 2 types Starry Mattes and Plain Mattes. The Starry Nights have minute shimmer gold dust and the Mattes are just plain colours.
Packaging: The Faces Ultime Pro Matte Lip Crayons comes in a pencil format. These have to be sharpened.
The Shades: I have got 2 shades:
1. Faces Ultime Pro Starry Matte Lip Crayon in Sugar Coated: It is a very pretty sugar pink color with minute gold dust, that appears more prominent on hand swatch than on the lips. The color is very bright and will look good on fair and wheatish complexion.

2. Faces Ultime Pro Matte Lip Crayon in Midnight Rose: It is a blackish red, almost oxblood. It is one of the deepest shades I have ever used. It suits all complexion and is a fast selling shade.

My experience: I am a lover of matte lipsticks and when I saw that the Faces Ultime Pro Starry Matte Lip Crayons have shimmer dust, I was really thrilled as it was a new concept for me. Unfortunately the dust does not appear on the lips at all. The color is pretty but has a tendency to get into lines. The formula is soft to work with. But after some time it can make the lips a bit dry. The stay power is very good. It has a tendency to bleed.
Faces Ultime Pro Matte Lip Crayon in Midnight Rose is one of the best shades I have ever used. It is very pigmented, a true blackish red that does not bleed at all. It stays for a really long time, without fading much, even after sipping or having food. Yes, it can become a little dry, but as is the rule with all matte lipsticks, you should wear them on hydrated lips.
Out of the two, I would recommend the Plain matte ones over the Starry ones. I have seen the range of shades and these are very nice with an array of pinks, mauves and reds.
Faces Ultime Pro Starry Mattes and Matte Lip Crayons are a great choice for matte lovers, specially the matte ones. Apart from the sharpening part, I do not see much negative points in the Plain matte crayon. If you are not the experimental kinds I would suggest you to go for the Matte Lip Crayons instead of the the Starry Mattes. Priced at Rs.799
