Facebook Video Will Never Beat YouTube, Here’s Why

Well, there are two sides to this story. Yes, native video receives more views and feedback on Facebook. But, it’s only limited to Facebook.

It’s worth noting that native video reaches a larger audience on Facebook than sharing a embedding a YouTube link in a Facebook post. Search Engine Journal‘s recent study is proof of that.

Then again, it’s the result of Facebook propaganda to promote native Video. As a part of Facebook’s News Feed curation algorithm, most of your posts don’t even reach all your followers. Facebook also has a system to narrow down the reach depending on the type of content. Status updates reach more followers while links get crushed.

On the other hand, sharing a video on YouTube allows you to not only reach YouTube users but also lets you share it easily across different social networks to reach a bigger audience while Facebook native video can only reach Facebook users. Long story short, Facebook video will never beat YouTube.

However, you can upload your videos to both social networks to get the most advantage.
