Facebook has started to imitate Twitter more than ever. After copying and adding some of Twitter’s own features like following, @mentions, embedding posts, hashtags, Facebook has now unveiled their (not so) latest feature, trending topics, which basically does the same thing as in Twitter.

New feature is now available for a limited amount of Facebook users via its’ mobile site, which seems to appear across the top of the newsfeed. It will show related posts and comments from friends as well as from strangers. According to AllThingsD , Facebook has just started testing this feature and is still in its’ earliest stages.

”Today we started running a small test that displays topics trending on Facebook,” a Facebook representative told Mashable. “It is currently only available to a small percentage of U.S. users who use Facebook’s mobile web site (m.facebook.com) and is still in very early stages of development.”

I wonder what else is left for Facebook to copy from Twitter?
