Facebook Forces Brands to Pay More by Cutting Down Page Reach to 6%

Back in 2012, Facebook noted that pages will have 16% reach for free. Now the percentage has been cut down by more than half in order to rake in more money for the billion-dollar social network company.

When folks over at TIME reached Facebook for more info about this matter, Facebook has declined to comment on the percentage of the current page reach. However they did provide a brilliant solution on how to get more fans to see posts.

“Like many mediums, if businesses want to make sure that people see their content, the best strategy is, and always has been, paid advertising,” a Facebook spokeswoman told TIME.

Thanks for the advice, Facebook. I think I will rather use Twitter and Google+ to promote my silly funny pictures instead of paying you each time to make them visible to all fans. I actually wish Facebook would charge a membership fee instead of charging for each of their services like this.
