We should always find ways to celebrate the little things in life. What better day to celebrate these little things than the best day of the week? So, here are the things that make this a Fabulous Friday for me this week.

  • STUDENT COUNCIL CAMPAIGN FEVER – Holly came home last weekend debating whether she wanted to put her name into contention for her middle school’s student council. I have no idea where she got this idea or why. She has never expressed interest in it prior to this moment, but by Monday morning, she was fired up about doing it. So, here we are in campaign poster world. The first vote is next week, and she has to prepare her speech in front of the student body. She is beyond excited about this, so we shall see where it goes. Now, please pass the glue.
  • LAST PARADE OF THE YEAR – I really do dislike parades. There are clowns and grabby kids and strangers running around in costumes. It all makes me very uncomfortable. Thankfully, Holly’s last marching band parade of the year is this weekend. There is even a chance they might not march if the weather forecast calls for rain. All I know is that I will be happy when this season is past us, and I don’t have to stand and watch any more freaky people just to see my kid walk past in 30 seconds.

(Now this is a parade I would enjoy!)
