Dutch indie quartet Fabrieke is a breath of fresh air, with their mix of garage rock, punk, hiphop, blues, vaudeville and grunge. They sing about ugly things, dubious sugar byproducts, Ikea, shitty TV shows parading the same taking heads night after night, genitalia, people making a fuss and last but not least all those little things that can't be avoided, but only get in the way of having a good time. They sing in Dutch, with a very notable Amsterdam accent, but the language barrier won't be much of a problem for fans of Pere Ubu, Captain Beefheart and Tom Waits.
Fabrieke are weird, loud and obnoxious, like a good rock 'n' roll band should be. These musicians are not trying to please. It's their party and if you don't like you are free to fuck off.
Fabrieke:
Eva Bijnen: drums, vocals, cello
Maarten Bijnen: bass, keyboards, vocals
Tomas Gons: guitar, vocals
