I am a very lazy person when it comes to morning skin care. Mainly because I get bored of my skin care and start looking for something new in the mornings, and when I don’t find something new or interesting in my stash, I start skipping skin care and it affects my skin big time.
So, for me, skincare that will work on my skin overnight is a blessing! And that’s why I picked this overnight sleeping mask as soon as I saw it.
First Aid Beauty(FAB) Facial Radiance Overnight Mask Review
I bought it in peak winter months and have been using it on and off since then. It can be used on a daily basis but I use it once or twice a week, or whenever I feel my skin needs extra hydration. Now, summer is starting so I don’t think I will use it as often as I don’t need so much moisturization in the hotter months.
It is a simple white tub packaging, very clean and to-the-point kindof package.
The mask itself is of a gel sort of consistency. It is not a mask in the traditional sense where you need to wash it off after some time.
It is more like a night cream, I just apply a thin layer all over my face before sleeping i.e. after washing my face and sometimes using a toner. In the morning it leaves my skin feeling plump and moisturized. But I feel, if I apply too much of it before sleeping, it leaves a sticky feeling in the morning. If I just use a thin layer, it feels just right.
Its texture in itself is kindof sticky and thick. So I would suggest you all to not use it too generously or it just leaves the skin with a residue, even on the pillow or sheets, sometimes. But still nothing that normal morning cleansing of the face can’t take care of.
I did not find it to have any negative effect.
It has a chemical-y skincare scent to it. I find it neutral as it is not too strong to be bothersome.
Also, it claims to brighten the skin. I didn’t use it on a daily basis to prove this claim right or wrong. But the days I use this, I do find my skin looking healthy and radiant to a certain degree. And I don’t think if your skin isn’t healthy from the inside, any product can give you a permanent radiance or brightening effect. So, as far as short term results go, I think this is as good as it can be in any product.
One really good thing about it is that is free of parabens and sulphates. So, if you just want to try something new, which won’t be harmful to your skin, go for it!
I bought this at Sephora, 1.7oz for $38.
I do not think I will repurchase this or highly recommend it to you guys as it is not something extraordinary for the price. There are other night creams in the market that would do a better or same job of hydrating skin overnight. So, overall this product was not really so FAB for me!
What night-time skin care products do you use? Leave me some recommendations in the comments and I would love to give them a try!
See you soon guys!
Lots of love,
