Her fresh faced beauty certainly belies her age of 43 and this whole pictorial feels serenely modern despite the traditional garb. It's been over 10 years since she captivated audiences worldwide with her portrayal of a Chosun era cook in the palace kitchen who overcomes many hardships to become the first female royal physician in the epic series Jewel In The Palace (Dae Jang Geum). That was one of my first K-dramas and I remember being quite fascinated by the scenes detailing the painstaking preparation process of Korean royal cuisine as well as all the plotting and intrigue.
