Extrovert Red Ale – Situation Brewing

By Mike @mikescraftbeer

From Situation Brewing in Edmonton comes their "Extrovert Red Ale". The beer pours a dark reddish amber with an off white head. The aroma is grainy bready malts, with caramel notes also and leafy hops and fruits. The flavour is of some earth, bready and grainy and toasted malts, caramel, fruit with a herbal and mildly bitter finish. The alcohol content comes in at 5.2% with an IBU of 22. Its not a perfect red ale but it is tasty and I would not hesitate to have it again.

Commercial Description: A new school revival of an old school favorite. Outgoing and approachable, this brew finishes with bready, caramel malts and subtle fruit. 2-row barley and Munich malt meld with Cascade and Chinook hops to bring you an oddly well-balanced Extrovert.
