Exploring Pike Place Market

So naturally when we made time to hop on the ferry and make the trek across the sound. Though it is an hour ride it honestly goes by quickly. The ferry is huge and loaded with snacks and seats with tables so you can snack or get some work done.

We were a little confused by one of the signs but after we crossed it we stumbled upon the famous Market sign and knew we were in the right spot.

We were pretty hungry already once we got there so we headed straight to Beechers to grab some of the infamous mac and cheese I kept hearing about. We paid about $6 for a small cup of pasta but let me tell you, it was worth EVERY BITE. It was probably the best mac and cheese I’ve ever had in my life.

There were tons of artists with beautiful work, gorgeous flowers for cheaper than you could imagine, and of course, seafood! I really loved checking out all of the pretty berries and everything too. Might seem weird but I love color so I had to admire them.

Just as we finished checking out all of the produce we ended up at the fish market and we got to witness the fish tossing. It was actually really cool even as an adult to hear them yelling and tossing the fish back and forth. I even caught a little on SnapChat to share. Hint, follow me on SnapChat!

Finally after 30 minutes of watching all the fish flying, we decided to grab some goodies from the little bakery that was close to it. My husband got some sort of maple something and I got a cannoli. I’m not huge on cannoli’s but this one looked promising and holy hell did it deliver. I wanted to go back and grab 5 more!

Though you may feel like you’ve conquered the market once you’ve ended on the street again, you haven’t yet! There is a whole slew of shops and restaurants under the street as well to explore. We checked out a weird museum to see the world’s largest man which really put my short height to shame. Then when my hubby compared hand sizes he felt really tiny too!

Finally once you’ve made your way through all of the underground shops, you have to go to the theater. Not to see a play or watch a film but to witness the huge bubble gum walls. The walls get scrapped from time to time but there was tons of gum to see and spots to add more. It was a really a disgustingly pretty view!

Exploring Pike Place Market was honestly a ton of fun. Even though we were there for a couple of hours I know there was tons more we need to explore. The market offers something for everyone but I will say without baby wearing, there’s no way we would have made it through the crowds. So if you plan on bringing your littles make sure to strap them on instead of using a stroller.
