{An excerpt from the archives...in case you missed it}

When Lazarus became sick, his sisters sent for Jesus. After hearing the news, Jesus stayed two days longer in the place where He was.

Jesus loved Lazarus, Mary and Martha, but He did not rush to return to them.

When you have been waiting longer than expected for an answer from God, you may be tempted to argue His timing.

Doesn't God know that the clock is ticking? Doesn't He know how quickly the days are passing by?

When the pressure of time is upon us we want God to "show up and do something." We want an overnight deliverance. We can't wait one more day, let alone four days.

When Jesus arrived, Lazarus was dead and had been buried for four days. Martha walked to meet Him and said,

"Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died."

Jesus told His disciples, "and for your sake I am glad that I was not there, so that you may believe".

Some of them said, "Could not he who opened the eyes of the blind man also have kept this man from dying?"

They believed that Jesus could heal Lazarus. They may have even mustered up enough faith if only Jesus had come a day or two after his death. But four days...?

Does our faith have an expiration date? Will our faith expire or endure the test of time?

Martha reminded of the length of days that Lazarus lay in the tomb by mentioning the smell of his deceased body. Jesus reminded that if you believe, you will see the glory of God.Expired Faith by Candra Evans

Jesus cried out with a loud voice, "Lazarus, come forth". Then he, who had died, came out of the tomb alive.

We have to put away the stopwatches and stop counting the years that have passed.

What could have been, will still be, when God says it's time. Expired Faith Candra Evans

Expired faith will not see the glory of God. Pray for renewed faith.
