Exclusive: WeAreBlahBlahBlah debutEsteemed and always eclectic in taste, Brighton-based We Are Blah Blah Blah are one of those blogs (and club nights) that have stood the test of time. For the last three years they’ve posted prolifically; whether it’s Ed banger electro, tinkling deep house or chin-stroking Hyperdub steppery, BlahBlahBlah are always on point.
A few years back we used to post BlahBlahBlah’s excellent mixtape installments religiously (until we fell a little behind...). And now they’ve put together their first production and handed a 128 to us as an exclusive.
It’s a slice of slow-building, powerfully surging electro-tech. The steady smack of a house snare slowly but surely pushes upwards and forwards behind a mist of restrained 80s electro synths. In all it's whirring, menacing glory 'Left' comes on like some kind of mutated love child of Kavinsky and Bicep:
WeAreBlahBlahBlah - Left [pelski highly recommends] {128kbps}
