Oh, well, she’s the Evil Queen so no wonder about eveything she does, but this is really unexpected if it comes to be true!!
Some Spoilers About #OnceUponaTime’s Apple Tree Scene
Why did Once Upon a Time crew put an apple tree in the middle of an intersection in Steveston dressed as Storybrooke in mid-March? We’ll find out tonight in the penultimate episode of season one entitled An Apple Red as Blood.
On that cold Wednesday night, local Once Upon a Time fans flocked to the village near Vancouver as word spread that the main cast – Jennifer Morrison, Ginnifer Goodwin, Josh Dallas, Lana Parrilla, Jared Gilmore, Raphael Sabarge, Meghan Ory, Beverley Elliott, Lee Arenberg and other members of Team 7 – were all on set as their Storybrooke selves gathered around an apple tree. So many fans arrived in fact that crew decided to arrange meet and greets with the cast and then politely asked fans to leave so that they could get the filming done.
I’d been there earlier in the day to see Jennifer Morrison as Emma Swan do her own falling-backward stunt in take after take not far from where crew later set up the apple tree. In the scene, a Josh Dallas stunt double drives David’s truck very fast down Moncton Street, suddenly veering towards Morrison’s Emma and narrowly missing her in take after take. Dallas himself runs over to Morrison’s Emma from the truck, acting genuinely stunned at and apologetic about the near accident. I suspect Lana Parrilla’s Regina is behind it somehow, as she schemes to get Emma to leave town and son Henry for good.
However the near-accident happens, I believe it plays a part in the apple tree scene which I saw and heard being filmed that evening. And events in the fairy tale world must play into it too. Tonight in the enchanted forest, Ginnifer Goodwin’s Snow White tries to take down Lana Parrilla’s Evil Queen who has Josh Dallas’s Prince Charming imprisoned. A Once Upon a Time promo on TVLine.com shows the Evil Queen taunting Charming with what she plans to do to Snow White.
Here are my photos of the apple tree scene in Storybrooke taken from a block away. They don’t reveal much of the scene but you should be able to spot Josh Dallas and a few members of Team 7 near the torches.
