Every Man’s Battle: Our Words

By Fgcitire

How do you feel when one says something to you that is so hurting?

How do you feel when people  criticize you in such a way that is so annoying? Welcome to  Earth where people faced with challenges are constantly being bombarded with different kinds of words.

Even though there is a constant struggle between our emotions and words, our words should constantly be filled with honey which is pleasing to many.

Consider This:

If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God. (1 Peter 4:11)

The lips of the righteous nourish many, but fools die for lack of judgment. (Proverbs 10:21)

The quiet words of the wise are more to be heeded than the shouts of a ruler of fools. (Ecclesiastes 9:17)

The tongue has the power of life and death. (Proverbs 18:21)

The mouth of the righteous is a fountain of life, but overwhelms the mouth of the wicked. (Proverbs 10:11)

Through patience a ruler can be persuaded, and a gentle tongue can break a bone. (Proverbs 25:15)

The tongue of the wise commends knowledge, but the mouth of the fool gushes folly. (Proverbs 15:2)

A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.  (Proverbs 15:1)

When words are many, sin is not absent, but he who holds his tongue is wise. (Proverbs 10:19)

He who guards his mouth and his tongue keeps himself from calamity. (Proverbs 21:23)

Looking at all the scriptures, one thing is certain. As Christians, the way we communicate to others is very important. Our words can encourage people and can also injure them. God wants our words to be a blessing. The World is waiting for the manifestation of the Sons of God.
