Here’s a great idea for your next fundraising event.
Invite your group to your Monopoly fundraiser and after a few drinks and food gather them around tables with the Monopoly boards laid out. Your event is going to be larger than life with a fast paced game,a real life jail and a real life Mr. Monopoly.
As the players play the game and land on the “Go To Jail” space a bell is wrung, costumed police escort the player to the cell. In order to get out they have to purchase a “Get Out Of Jail” card. Of course all money collected goes to the event cause.
Everyone who lands on “Free Parking” is allowed to pick a prize from a prize table.
A time limit is set since Monopoly can be a marathon session,first and second place winners are given cash prizes.
Event fundraisers like this give participants something to do between socializing. There are several streams of income your Non Profit group can collect from: Admission to the event, food and drink and get out of jail. Invite local celebrities to the event and you’ll already have media coverage.
