Estée Lauder recently released the Pure Color Stay-On Shadow Paints collection earlier this month and I was lucky enough to be able to trial one of the shades from the collection. I’ve been really looking forward to trying it as I’m a big fan of most cream eye shadows such as Paint Pots and Color Tattoos.

The Estée Lauder Pure Color Stay-On Shadow Paint formula is created by Tom Pecheux, Estée Lauder’s creative makeup director. The pots are quite small, so a brush will be needed. When I first dipped my brush into the pot, I was expecting a thick dense cream shadow like the paint pots but instead I got a soft light gel like texture which blended in very smoothly. These cream shadows can be used on its own or as a base. Pink Zinc is a lovely pearly peach colour, great for those who love neutral make up.
These are said to be 12-Hour wear, non-creasing and non-fading. After I took a photo of the swatch, I tried to wipe it off with a tissue, but the eyeshadow wouldn’t budge. The staying power is pretty good and I haven’t noticed any fading or creasing.
There are 9 shades available in the Pure Color Shadow Paints Collection. Chained, Halo, Pink Zinc, Sinister, Cosmic, Steel, Neon Fuchsia, Bold Cobalt, and Extreme Emerald.
I’ve read other reviews where consistency between shades are different. I can’t comment on this as I’ve only tried one. I’m really wanting to try out other shades such as Chained and Neon Fuchsia, they look gorgeous. These babies go for $42 and are available at any Estée Lauder counters.
