Essie Gel Couture Stitch by Stitch, Top Coat, Fairy Tailor
I'm not a nail polish person. I love the look of nail polish but every time I paint my nails it chips within a few hours so it's just not worth the effort.
I used to buy nail polish regularly, hoping that it might be the miracle one that would last on me, but other than a Revlon Colourstay polish that I used about 15 years ago, nothing has worked.
At the recently Priceline sale I noticed that the Essie Gel Couture nail polishes were half price. I've heard good things about them so picked one up to give it a go.
I chose the color Stitch by Stich which is a medium toned pink. It is quite sheer so I had to put on three layers for opaque coverage. It dried really quickly which was great, I hate having to sit around waiting for my nails to dry. Once I'd put the three layers on I put the top coat on and that was it.
Four days later the polish was still going strong with no flaking or chipping!
Essie says it can last up to twelve days. I got seven days wear, on the eighth day it started to flake away on the ends of my nails so I removed it.
I'd say I might have got longer wear if I'd reapplied the top coat, but I'm so happy that it looked perfect for seven day. I'm happy to pain my nails once a week.
Once I realised how awesome Gel Couture is I went back and picked up the pale pink Fairy Tailor.
