Fox’s hit show Empire might of seen a dip in ratings for it’s second season, but that isn’t stopping it from being green light for a 3rd season.

The network has given an early renewal to the series, which has averaged a whopping 21.2 million viewers across multiple platforms and a 7.3 rating among adults 18–49 for its second season when including DVR playback. Plus Empire was recently the only broadcast series to earn a Golden Globe nomination for best drama, while star Taraji P. Henson won the Globe on Sunday for best leading actress in a TV drama.
For some reason Fox renewed their comedy Scream Queens too. I liked the show but I didn’t think it was coming back for another season. Thankfully I was wrong.
