Seeing the names, Eminem and Buckshot, together has to leave any fan of real hip-hop excited. This bonus track off Eminem's new Marshall Mathers LP 2 is undoubtedly a surprising treat for fans of that classic boom bap hip-hop sound. Marshall is very much on point with his lyrical prowess rhyming over the classic Black Moon track "I Got Cha Opin." The few lines below just give a small example of how he is able to make any track his own and show that he is absolutely still one of the best in the game.
"I'm no king, no need for rose pedals to be thrown at my feet. I'm a thorn in your side, get thrown into a Throne, better Watch the tone you speak."-Eminem
For those unfamiliar with Buckshot, he is best known for being a part of the hip-hop groups Boot Camp Clik and Black Moon. Personally, Black Moon was one of the first groups that really grabbed my attention from this golden age of hip-hop with songs like, "Who Got da Props?", "How Many MC's", and of course "I Got Cha Opin". All of which helped feed my hip-hop addiction, and leaving me wanting to hear more and more. Check out the track streaming below.
