When I see turquoise jewelry all I get are visions of post-menopausal, mother earth women living somewhere in the southwest, probably off the grid, wearing flowy clothes, greeting the morning with a Kundalini yoga practice and a bowl of granola and a shot of wheatgrass. Not that there is anything wrong with that…of course. Yet, turquoise jewelry just has that vibe. I often travel to New Mexico, one of my favorite places on earth, and, seriously, you can’t swing a dead cat in that state without hitting something made of turquoise.
So, when I found out that turquoise jewelry is hot for fall, I started to wonder if it is possible to wear it with anything else than a Navajo print, a cowboy hat or a pair of yoga pants. Up for the challenge, I put some looks together.
