My apologies for the lack of posts during the last week or so. After arriving back home after an overseas trip and a hectic start to a new year of uni, I’ve been so busy that I haven’t had a chance to properly blog.
I have some very exciting posts and reviews prepared for the coming months and I hope you all enjoy! Today I’ll be sharing with you one of these posts and this is a review of the ELES Cosmetics – Earth Goddess makeup look & some of their latest products.
Earth Goddess. The look is soft and natural and smoky, reminiscent of hazy warm summer. Earth tones combine with warm bronze to exude a healthy, sun kissed glow. Brows are soft and natural and lashes long, voluminous and feathery. Skin shows through with glowing radiance. – ELES Cosmetics
Containing SPF 30, this BB cream is a product that can be used as a makeup base under foundation or alone as a BB cream while also priming, tinting, nourishing and protecting the skin thanks to its peptides and natural ingredients! I found the shade Light to be a nice match to my fair skin as when blended in, it didn’t leave an orange tint to the skin, instead it disappears into the skin, leaving a natural sheer finish, however it can be built up slowly. The BB cream does have a sunscreen fragrance though this doesn’t bother me too much. Leaving the skin looking fresh with a glow, on my normal skin type, it didn’t look overly oily throughout the day though I do powder my face on a daily basis. The formula is quite hydrating and wont cling to any dry patches.
ELES Mineral Sheer Bronzer – Rio De Janeiro
One of the biggest challenges as someone with fair skin is to find a bronzer that doesn’t look too orange or too muddy when applied. This bronzer does neither; instead, it gives a gorgeous healthy glow and color to the skin in a very natural way. The powder is soft and applies smoothly onto the skin and as the name suggests, when blended out, it gives a sheer sun kissed look to the skin. Although it does contain some micro shimmer, it only adds to give you a beautiful glow and in no way will it leave you looking glittery, even in sunlight. I love this bronzer and it’s now my go to! It also is paraben, fragrance and oil free.
ELES Signature Shadow Quad in Naturalist
One of the standouts from the ELES brand is their eye shadows and this palette is no exception! To me, this is the perfect palette of 4 neutral mattes shades that every girl must have in their collection. It’s perfect for everyday and the quality is of a high standard, as always. The eye shadow shades are pigmented, soft and very easy to blend on the eye with very little fallout. Lasting well throughout the day, the shades keep their intensity and the inclusion of a mirror in the compact means it’s perfect for on the go transformations from a day to night look. I took this overseas with me and I can say that I basically used this palette everyday! Whether it was using all 4 shades to create a look, or using a shade or two to help blend and polish a look.
ELES Dimensional Cake Liner in Chocolate Spice
The combination of a matte brown and glittery chocolate shade are the perfect complement to the eyeshadow quad and adds some glitter to the look, allowing you to add a little something extra for a night look. The cake liner shades are pigmented and when used wet, are easy to apply and have a great color payoff, especially the glitter shade. I also think that they would also work perfectly as eye shadows or placed on top of any of the shades from the quad because of their high quality!
ELES Micro Bubble Lipstick in Micro Mocha
This is a beautiful rosey brown shade that I think will suit a lot of skin tones and the formula is amazing! The lipstick goes on smoothly and opaque and lasts a great amount of time. Not only does it having lasting power but it doesn’t leave your lips dry or flaking as most long lasting lipsticks do, instead its very comfortable to wear. It continually leaves the lips looking plump and moisturised thanks to the micro bubble technology which actually releases conditioners throughout the day, allowing your lips to look perfect throughout the day.
