Quinoa has almost twice as much fiber as most grains, which means a smooth and easy digestion for your little one. It is also extremely rich in protein, which is crucial for proper development of growing babies. Besides these, Quinoa also has good quantities of iron, manganese, magnesium and other essential nutrients – it’s not called a supergrain for nothing! Egg Yolk Quinoa Stir Fry for Babies

Quinoa is one of the healthiest foods around, with lots of iron, protein and fiber. Now even babies can get these benefits with this Egg Yolk Quinoa Stir Fry recipe!

Ingredients:

  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1/2 cup cooked quinoa
  • 1 teaspoon finely grated carrot
  • 1 teaspoon finely chopped french bean (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon butter
  • A fat pinch of black pepper

Method:

1. Melt butter in a pan. Add the grated carrot and chopped French beans and fry for a minute.

2. Add the cooked quinoa to the pan and stir fry for 1-2 minutes.

3. Add beaten egg yolk to the quinoa followed by freshly crushed black pepper.

4. Stir fry constantly for about 2 minutes so that the egg yolk gets scrambled and coats the quinoa grains.

5. Serve the egg yolk quinoa stir fry warm.
