Egg less Whole Wheat- Oatmeal Cookies 


Today I am going to share a simple basic recipe for making egg less oatmeal cookies. Egg less Wholewheat oatmeal cookies are very popular with both kids and adults. 
This simple recipe needs butter, sugar, flour, baking powder, and milk. Bring all the ingredients to room temperature before you start. Preheat the oven to 180 C/ 375 F. Make sure to sieve the flour and baking powder to the batter. Do not add too much batter in the pan and do not over bake.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter at room temperature
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 cup oatmeal
  • 1 cup whole wheat or plain flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2  Vanilla essence

Method:

**Preheat the oven at 180 C.

  • In a large bowl put the butter, sugar, vanilla and milk and beat until it become smooth and creamy in texture.

  • In another bowl, put all the dry ingredients oats, wheat flour, salt and baking powder and mix well.

  • Mix the dry ingredients mixture into the butter and mix well.

  • knead the dough.
**Add a little milk to make Dough should be very soft.

  • Divide the mixture into 24 equal parts and form into round balls.
  • Place all the balls on a greased tray at a distance from each other.

  • Bake the cookies for 15 to 20 minutes or until cookies are lightly gold brown in color.

  • Let them cool over the tray completely then take them off from the tray.

Egg less Whole Wheat- Oatmeal Cookies 


Variations:
  • Add cocoa powder (1/3 cup) to make chocolate oat cookies.
  • Add various dried fruits, nuts to make the oatmeal cookies tastier, chocolate chips can also be added as per choice. 

    Note: 

    • They will be soft when taken out, but will firm up once they cool down.
    • Transfer baked cookies over a cooling rack to prevent further cooking.
    • They will turn crispy and chewy after cooling store then in an airtight container at room temperature.
    • If you are using salted butter, do not add extra salt.
    • You can use 50% whole wheat flour and 50% plain flour for lighter cookies.
    • You can use either cardamom powder or cinnamon Powder as per your choice.


              **The time required for baking the cookies may because of different size and setting of the oven.
