EcoTools Pure Complexion Facial Sponge

Establishing a good cleaning routine is an absolute must. Properly cleaning your skin is very important to help keep your skin healthy and clear. Today I share with you a new product I’ve been using to clean my skin –  The EcoTools Pure Complexion Facial Sponge. The Pure Complexion Facial Sponge is made with natural ingredients such as Konjac. Konjac is a traditional Japanese jelly-like health food made from a type of potato called “Konnyaku potato”. For over a century the Japanese have been using the Konjac vegetable as a beauty treatment for their delicate skin.

Pure Complexion Facial Sponge is handmade with 100 percent natural ingredients, including Konjac* vegetable fibre, for a better clean that reveals smooth, refreshed skin. It is dermatologist tested for use both morning and night to wash away dirt, oil and makeup, leaving skin glowing without over-drying or causing redness.

How to use:
Run sponge under water, until it’s moist and scrunch it a few times – this helps with absorbing moisture. Repeat until the entire sponge is completely moist and squeeze out excess water. Use sponge in circular motion on face. When finished, rinse sponge and let it dry.

Additional info:

What I like:

  • The sponge feels very smooth on your face, so you won’t get the scratchy feel
  • Great at removing dirt and oil from my face
  • 100% handmade with 100% natural ingredients
  • No chemicals or additives
  • Fragrance-free
  • Leaves skin feeling soft & smooth (you don’t see it right away, need to use it for a couple of weeks before you see any results)

What I dislike:

  • Sometimes a little difficult to grip

Overall:
The shape of the sponge makes it quite easy to reach places like the side of the nose and under the lip. This is a great for sensitive skin because the texture of the sponge is not rough which means you can use it everyday as part of your cleaning routine. In the morning, I use this with my Uriage Creme Lavante cleanser and at night with my Shiseido The Skincare Purifying Cleansing Foam to remove my BB cream. I’ve found that if I use the sponge with a foam cleanser, the residual from the cleanser doesn’t rinse out easily even if I do rinse 2-3 times. Other bloggers place their sponges in boiling water for a few minutes to remove residual cleanser. I haven’t tried so I’m not sure if it damages the sponge or not.

Have out tried these sponges before? What did you think?

Provided for consideration. This has not influenced my opinion in any way.
