Posted on the 30 October 2012 by Tftb @TFTB

Now you upgraded your iPhone to the very new iOS6. As always the first thing you do on your iPhone is launch up your Facebook App and update your status to brag about how fast your iPhone is after iOS6. So you do that, get some likes and as usual, keep swiping your timeline, you stumble upon a photo you like, you wait, tap on it and as usual you long tap on it and get the option ‘Save Photo‘ as you used to get always. With a quick tap you save it.

But to your surprise the saved photo never came up in your Camera Roll, nor it got saved to anywhere in your Photo Library. So this time you do the whole process again and still the same, the photo doesn’t save.

How to Save Facebook Photos on iPhone

There is a easy solution to this, to our surprise its without even jailbreaking your device. Follow the steps.

  • Open ‘Settings‘ > Scroll down to General Section > Tap ‘Privacy
  • Tap ‘Photos‘ Section > Scroll till you find ‘Facebook
  • Turn it ‘ON

The Photos section in the Privacy settings controls which App would have the access to your Photo Library. You can enable or disable any app. Since by default its not allowed, Facebook app tries to save the App to your Camera Roll but as its not allowed it couldn’t.

Once you have enabled that you can save as many photos you want from the Facebook App or the website as you always used to do.
