Easy Chocolate Chip Scones Recipe
Every so often I don’t mind a little chocolate at breakfast–and this easy Chocolate Chip Scones recipe was a very big hit!
It’s really fast to throw together. There aren’t any fancy ingredients and you probably already have everything you need. How great is that?
I admit I didn’t use the mini chocolate chips, instead substituting in regular chips until it looked “right.” Have fun with this yummy scones recipe! Serve it up with a cup of great coffee or tea.

Ingredients
- 1 Cup Flour
- 3 Tablespoons Sugar
- 1-1/2 teaspoons Baking Powder
- Dash Salt
- 2 Tablespoons Cold Butter
- 1 Egg
- 3 Tablespoons Heavy Whipping Cream
- 1/2 Cup Miniature Semisweet Chocolate Chips
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the Flour, Sugar, Baking Powder and Salt.
- Cut in Butter until combined and the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- In a small bowl, combine Egg and Heavy Cream; stir into dry ingredients just until moistened.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
- Turn onto a floured surface and knead gently 6-8 times.
- Pat into a 6" circle and cut dough into 6 wedges.
- Separate wedges and place 1" apart on an ungreased baking sheet (or use parchment paper if desired).
- Bake at 350° for 18-20 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from pan to a wire rack and serve warm.
