The MN wild were on and we had eggs to dye so we invited the Ks (kelsie and kevin) and grandma and grandpa Ertle over. We went all out making the turkey with mashed potatoes, gravy (thanks mom!), corn, veggies and a salad. Dinner was followed up with a little bit of 'bunny bait'.
[easter egg selfie] After dinner we had fun stun the eggs. Avrie had the most fun with the snap colors. Basically a Q-tip soaked in dye. Her's actually turned out the best too! After eggs it was bathtime and a very late bedtime. It got to be a late but also a really fun night.
Friday we were up to pack up and get on the road to Minn Lake. We made a few stops first and met with Larry for another Tinucci's fish lunch. yummmmmm
We arrived in Minn Lake a little after 3. Avrie gave Grandma Kay the biggest 'i miss you' hug ever and had fun dragging out all of her favorite toys.
Soon she headed on over to Hannah's to play. I hung out with Kay a little while and then eventually made it over to Kris' to find Avrie having a great time hanging out with her cousin. They were in the bathroom getting ready and Hannah even painted Avrie's toes for her.
[left pic: this pose had hannah and i in tears from laughter!] Friday night we went out to dinner and again it got to be a late night. Again fun but pretty late for the AVers. She just never gives in and doesn't ever want to miss a thing. Saturday we spent the day just hanging out and its a good thing we did, Avrie started acting a little bit off around lunch which later turned into no lunch (not hungry) and then no nap (couldn't sleep) so after about two hours of 'resting' with her she came down with a quick high fever followed by an upset stomach and even threw up!
[asleep on the floor which has happened only one other time- about a month ago!] I was so worried for her as she just wasn't her self and it came on so quick and sudden BUT fast forwarding to bedtime. She went down after a cool bath and two books, I think she was sleeping be for her head hit the pillow.
She woke up pretty early and brighter of us really got the beat nights sleep but the good news is that she was ready for a beautifully sunny Easter Sunday. Her and I opted to skip church just to be sure she was feeling better.
We had an egg hunt outside with her cousins Hannah and Ethan. She ran around in her cute little Easter dress, egg pail and pink cheeks SO EXCITED each and every time she spotted an egg. She was even walking around at one point saying "Easterrrr eeggggg..." as if they should appear upon her calling for them. haha

[showing daddy her eggs!] Around noon we packed up the car and headed over to Krista and Jason's for Easter lunch. There was a ton of delicious food, I ate way too much and way too fast but the best part was sitting out on the deck in the mid-70 degree weather, enjoying the sun. It was glorious!!
[easter basket and goodies!] Around 5pm we started for home. As Aaron unpacked the car and kept Avrie busy I ran in the house to play Easter Bunny. I put her basket together and hid that. Then grabbed our dyed eggs in the fridge from Thursday for a 10 egg hunt in the living room. Once again Avrie loved finding the eggs and checking out all of her Easter basket goodies.
[the peeps on a stick were a hit!] After we were settled back into home. Aaron and I decided to plop Avrie in the stroller so that we could go out for a walk. It was too nice to not AND I felt great reaching my 10000 steps goal for the day on top of being in the car and eating food all day!
