Easter Bunny Goes Adventuring | Easter Monday

DSC_5850_edited-1After the lounging glorious Sunny (Easter) Sunday that we all enjoyed (along with my superbly painted eggs!) we motored up to gran in Angus to take her out for Easter Monday lunch. After arriving pretty swiftly having thundered our way up the dual carriageway, we arrived at Johnshaven for our table at the Anchor Hotel for 1pm.This had been recommended to us from mummy’s old school friend who lives in Ferryden and always has her ear to the ground about the latest happenings! Having never been before we had no idea what to expect, but the food was fresh (although took a while to arrive) and was pleasant enough. Also with a bottle of rosé sparkling for £22 who could complain? I enjoyed some fresh Scottish lobster alongside a rocket salad, whilst ma enjoyed cod goujons, and both gran and daddy had scampi! Don’t you like the “Pitcher”? The Anchor Restaurant upstairs looked rather lovely but unfortunately it wasn’t open for lunch and especially not on a Monday, very Scottish.
