Chicago based rock trio Earthmother have the retro-vibe in full swing on their debut single Sweet Annie's Crying: a road trip-friendly melody, with a guitar part that brings back Jerry Garcia's folk roots, a hint of Duanne Allman and David Gilmour in his mid-Seventies tone of choice. The rhythm section must have been listening religiously to Traffic and Led Zeppelin's third album.
The three band members connected when they were students at Berklee College of Music, sharing a love for 60s and 70s psychedelica. Don't be surprised when they proof to be capable of jamming out and taking this song to unchartered waters, putting their musical knowledge to good use.
